Big News: Trek Columbia Becomes Muletown Bikes!

We’re excited to announce that Trek Bicycle Store Columbia is becoming Muletown Bikes, starting June 14th, 2025!

While the name on the front of the building may be changing, our mission stays the same: to serve the Columbia cycling community with top-tier bikes, expert service, and a welcoming, small-town atmosphere. We’re still your local bike shop — just with a new name and fresh energy!

Meet the New Owner: Vinny Tavares

As part of this exciting new chapter, we’re proud to introduce our new owner, Vinny Tavares. Born in Brazil, Vinny brings decades of cycling experience and a deep love for bikes and community.

Vinny began his career racing mountain bikes, later managing a successful bike shop in Ireland for over 10 years. In 2019, he moved to Tennessee with his wife (a Columbia native) and spent the last six years managing Ride615 in Nashville — one of the region’s most respected shops.

Now, Vinny is bringing his skills, passion, and vision to downtown Columbia with the launch of Muletown Bikes.
